BistroCat Recipe Replacement Guarantee

Overview

BistroCat offers a Recipe Replacement Guarantee (“the Guarantee”) to all active annual food subscription customers. If your cat does not eat or consistently leaves behind a recipe included in your food shipment, we will replace it with a different recipe at no additional cost to you.

How It Works

BistroCat’s built-in food scale tracks how much of each pod your cat consumes. If our data indicates that a recipe is being consistently left uneaten or significantly under-consumed across multiple servings, we will automatically ship a replacement case of a different recipe.

You do not need to contact us to initiate a replacement — our system detects underperforming recipes and triggers replacements proactively. You may also contact us directly at any time to request a recipe change.

Limits

  • Up to 3 complimentary recipe replacements per subscription year (12-month period beginning on your subscription start date).
  • Each replacement covers one case of food (the equivalent of the case being replaced).
  • Replacement cases are shipped at no additional cost. You do not need to return the original case.
  • After 3 replacements in a subscription year, additional recipe changes will be included in your next regular shipment at standard subscription pricing.

Eligibility

  • You must have an active BistroCat annual food subscription.
  • Your BistroCat feeder must be set up and connected so that consumption data is available.
  • The Guarantee applies to BistroPod recipes included in your subscription shipments only.

What Doesn’t Qualify

  • Changes in feeding behavior due to illness, medication, or environmental factors (e.g., new pet in the household, travel stress) are not covered under the Guarantee, though we encourage you to consult your veterinarian if your cat’s eating habits change suddenly.
  • Replacements are for recipe preference only — not for damaged, spoiled, or missing shipments (which are handled under our standard shipping policy).
